Product Description:

In the USA Today bestselling Needlecraft Mysteries, Betsy Devonshire has her hands tied between running her needlework shop and turning her sharp eye for deduction to solve a knotty murder at a local fund-raiser…

The Monday Bunch and other local knitters are participating in a fund-raising auction to save a community center, creating a growing pile of stuffed animals and toys right in front of the auctioneers as the audience bids. Among those contributing the most knitted goods is temperamental businesswoman Maddy Hanover—who keels over halfway through the event.

After she is pronounced DOA, an autopsy reveals that Maddy had been poisoned. But how? And by whom? One of the prime suspects is her ruthless business rival, Joe Mickels, who lost a bitterly contested property bid to Maddy.

When Mickels pleads his innocence to Betsy, she reluctantly believes him. But if Betsy is going to uncover the real murderer’s identity, she must first untangle the knots Maddy made in her relationships throughout her life…

Betsy Devonshire is the owner of Crewel World, a needlework shop in Minnesota. A group of knitters known as the Monday Bunch meets there regularly. Their latest project has been knitting stuffed animals for a charity event. The event is marred when someone suddenly drops over dead. Knit Your Own Murder is the newest novel in the Needlecraft Mystery series by Monica Ferris.

The auction raised quite a bit of money but when the dead person is found to have been murdered...  Betsy steps in to do her own investigation. Joe Mickels asks her to help prove his innocence but Betsy is not sure he is not the killer. There was also another murder in the community a week before and there was a connection between the two victims. Are there two murderers on the loose or were both committed by the same person? Betsy is a thorn in the side of Detective Sergeant Mike Malloy but her instincts have proved to be helpful in the past.

Several people become suspects as Betsy pokes into corners that may put her in danger. This newest cozy mystery in the series has a few twists as the evidence finally points to what really happened. Followers of Ferris will love the way the needlework shop is woven into the story along with patterns at the back of the book. It is also fun to revisit with characters from previous books in the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
