Product Description:

As Laurie Cass continues the national bestselling Bookmobile Cat mystery series, librarian Minnie Hamilton is happy to take her bookmobile for a spin with her rescue cat, Eddie—but her tenacious tabby always seems to find trouble...

As the bookmobile rolls along the hills of Chilson, Michigan, Minnie and Eddie spread good cheer and good reads. But when her faithful feline finds his way into the middle of a murder, Minnie is there, like any good librarian, to check it out.

Eddie turns a routine bookmobile stop into anything but when he makes a quick escape and hops into a pickup truck…with a dead body in the flatbed. The friendly local lawyer who was driving the pickup falls under suspicion. But Minnie and Eddie think there's more to this case than meets the eye, and the dynamic duo sets out to leave no page unturned.

It's fall in Chilson, Michigan, and change is coming. Minnie Hamilton, librarian and bookmobile driver extraordinaire, isn't so sure that she likes the changes coming to the library, courtesy of the new library director. She's also not so sure she'll like the changes that will come when her aunt gets married - leaving Minnie without a home - or when her best friend gets married - possibly leaving Minnie without a best friend in Chilson. She's also puzzled as to why her relationship with Deputy Ash hasn't seemed to change at all. They're still more like good friends than anything else.

But there's one thing that will never change in Chilson: Eddie the Bookmobile Cat is always the one most likely to find a dead body. This time, it's one of Chilson's least-liked people. Which means that the suspect list is long and growing ever-longer. Minne and Eddie know that the person at the top of the police's list doesn't belong there, and they're determined to ferret out the real killer. Minnie's research skills and Eddie's catly wiles will be pushed to the limit as they try to solve this one.

Minnie is a truly likeable heroine, and Eddie is a perfectly lovable cat. Chilson is populated with believable characters, good and bad. Laurie Cass paints a vivid picture of the small lake town and provides a perfectly paced mystery with outstanding character development. It's hard to know where the series will go from here, but fans will devoutly hope more volumes are yet to come!
